Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our pediatric dentists to provide exceptional dental care to children in a friendly and supportive environment. Your primary focus will be on assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring the comfort of our young patients, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Must be willing to travel to 2 offices. (Greensburg and Murrysville)
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit
- Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff
- Support the overall patient experience by providing excellent customer service
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Previous experience in dental assisting, particularly in a pediatric dentistry setting
- Familiarity with Dolphin software
- Knowledge basic anatomy related to dental care
- Proficiency in assisting the doctor with nitrous
- Understanding of dental terminology to facilitate effective communication within the practice
