Description
Department: Fabrication
Summary: To operate various types of mechanical and hydraulic machines to form metal into parts of Demco’s products. Follows policies and procedures put in place as well as any modifications while always being aware to preserving the product’s integrity and quality.
Primary Duties:
- To set-up and operate multiple machines independently
- Run metals through the machines to create a product according to print
- To have safe work habits and to follow safety procedures
- Able to find, print and understand shop orders, customer orders and engineers drawings
- Good record keeping skills and able to keep an accurate count on product
- Able to use a forklift, hoist, and crane and know the correct procedures to operate each
- Conscientious of following procedures
- To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis
- To work as a team and be self motivated to work independently

Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
- Able to read and use measuring tools accurately
- Able to convert fractions to decimals using a chart
- Must be safety minded
- Organizational skills
- Requires attention to detail and a high standard of quality
- Must comply to ISO 9000 required policies
- Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment
- Good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
