Maintenance Technician – Rendering

Position Summary:

• Individual is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and preventive maintenance perform troubleshooting, installation, and startup of new equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

Ø Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.

Ø Ability to work in a hot, cold and or wet environment.

Ø Welding is a plus but not required. Must follow all safety practices.

Ø Operate all shop equipment such as grinders, cut-off saws, power tools, ladders etc.

Ø Operate Hydraulic, air or electric hand tools.

Ø Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (for example, pinpointing and repairing problems associated with high-speed manufacturing line breakdowns)

Ø Working with hydraulic systems (understanding high-pressure cylinders, pumps, or valves and reading schematics and using for troubleshooting in high-speed manufacturing)

Ø Working with pneumatics (for example, working with solenoids, cylinders, or motor brakes and reading schematics and using for troubleshooting in high-speed manufacturing)

Ø Working with electrical systems (for example, working with high voltage, installation, motor testing, troubleshooting)

Job Requirements:

Ø Ability to walk, stand, lift for 8 - 10-hour shifts.

Ø Must be a self-starter who can work without direct supervision.

Ø Flexible work schedule which may include nights and weekends.

Ø Must be able to read, understand, and document/communicate findings on daily preventative maintenance orders.

Ø Ability to read, write and speak English.

Ø Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment.

Ø Ability to operate forklifts, skid loaders, man lifts, and payloaders.

Ø Two years of general maintenance and repair exp. or any equivalent combination of experience and or education.

Ø Knowledge of OSHA is a plus.

Ø Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Ø Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping, as needed.
