Marketing Specialist

Job Summary:

This role involves direct reporting to the Marketing Manager. As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the Marketing Department. This includes but is not limited to, data analysis: using search methods to evaluate industry trends, making decisions about project strategies, and assessing the effectiveness of projects. You will also be expected to manage tasks, assess risks, participate in budget planning, and develop critical thinking and project planning skills. Additionally, you will be responsible for team development, decision-making skills, and goal-setting skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase profitability.

· Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.

· Stay current with digital media developments, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide suggestions for adoption where appropriate.

· Strong working knowledge of creative and word processing software. Ability to integrate technology into work processes to improve productivity and control.

· Developing and reviewing content for channels, including emails, statement messages, billboards, website, flyers, chamber ads, etc.

· Attended kickoff calls, projects, and planning meetings with business unit stakeholders, created project plans as needed, and managed marketing/communications projects when needed.

· Coordinating with agencies and vendors, including print vendors, website vendors, and similar partnerships.

· Evaluate the success of digital marketing through monthly analytical reports

· Participate in the marketing budget development and ensure proper implementation activities and spend in line with desired project outcomes

· Other duties and responsibilities assigned

• Frequent local travel required. Must possess valid driver's license
• Attendance may be required before/after regular business hours at various events

• Must be able to effectively read, write, and listen

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
• Proficient using Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and video recording software for social media
• Intermediate/Advanced computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Physical Requirements:

· May be asked to handle, move, and/or carry large boxes of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. May require stooping, bending, squatting and reaching for limited periods of time. May require sitting and standing for long periods of time.

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
