Position Summary:
The Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) Finance Director oversees the major donor fundraising efforts for the WLF program. A crucial part of the Democratic Party, the Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) was founded in 1993 and aims to raise money as a tool to engage women in our democracy. The Finance Director creates and implements a program-specific finance plan and supports the execution of principal and surrogate travel and fundraising events. The Finance Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with the program’s top donors and its co-chairs.
The WLF is engaged in a wide array of political activities, providing its members with substantive information, discussion, and action. This includes an annual issues conference, regional events that share and present policy initiatives, opportunities to raise political awareness and cultivate new members, an opportunity to participate in conference calls with policy and political leaders, and much more.
The WLF Finance Director is based in Washington, DC and reports to the Director of Coalition Fundraising and the National Finance Director at the Democratic National Committee.

This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. The salary for this position is $95,000 per year on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In this position you will:
- Work with DNC Leadership and the WLF steering committee to set monthly and yearly finance and engagement goals
- Write and manage the finance plan
- Cultivate new donors and raisers
- Set and execute a calendar of regular programming, including calls, events, meetings, and political activities
- Organize annual WLF Conference, as well as regional events
- Engage with the political department on women's engagement and organizing activities and recruit WLF membership to join in that work
- Write and disseminate regular communications to WLF members.
- Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 4-5 years of political fundraising experience
- Strong and engaging interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and proficient in Excel and Google Suite
- Working knowledge of NGP database
- Experience working on campaign or political committee fundraising teams for 2-3 cycles preferred
- Experience managing events and staffing principals
- Experience working in the political fundraising area, with emphasis on women’s or coalition fundraising is preferred
- Experience collaborating with teams
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
