Creative Director
The DSCC is seeking a skilled Creative Director to create compelling photo, video, and graphic design content for the committee, as well as manage the in-house creative team. This person will be responsible for managing the visual and video brand of the DSCC, but should make creative decisions for social media content based on what performs well online.
The ideal candidate for this role has an expert knowledge of all things photo, video, and graphic design. They are comfortable creating content themselves, as well as providing constructive feedback and art direction to a team.
This role will report to the Digital Content Director and manage the Senior Video Producer and the Senior Graphic Designer. This role will also require significant cooperation and coordination with the Social Platforms Director.
This is not always a 9-6, M-F job and will require work outside of normal business hours. This position is based in Washington, DC. This position is expected to regularly come into the DSCC office and may occasionally require travel throughout the cycle and travel to a battleground state for GOTV efforts ahead of Election Day.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the visual and video brand of the DSCC
- Supervise the DSCC creative team, managing daily workflow, assigning projects, and monitoring deadlines.
- Produce high-quality photo, video, and graphic design content for the DSCC and Senate campaigns
- Work closely with the Social Platforms Director to create engaging social media content tailored to different platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Fulfill creative requests from both Senate campaigns and DSCC staff in support of building operations
- Help manage film space objectives, including filming Senators and candidates
- Maintain a structured file management system to streamline workflows and collaboration.
- Manage redesign of the DSCC website
- Design and build microsites for DSCC partners
About You
- 3 years creating exceptional content for political candidates, organizations, or firms, including video, photo, and graphic design
- 2 years of experience managing creative teams
- Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
- Proven experience in video production, editing, and storytelling
- Strong understanding of camera equipment, lighting, and audio techniques
- Proven experience in graphic design for both digital and print
- Experience with website design softwares such as Square Space, Wix, WordPress, etc. preferred
- Experience with principal/candidate management preferred
- Experience on a Senate campaign or other statewide campaign preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects.

The salary for this position is $110,000 annually.
