Regional Deputy Finance Director
The Regional Deputy Finance Directors are responsible for helping their Regional Finance Director execute major donor fundraising operations within their assigned region. They will help their Regional Director meet monthly fundraising goals by building relationships with current and prospective DSCC donors in the region. Regional Deputies will lead the creation of principal briefing materials for fundraising meetings and events in their region and ensure that the region meets applicable deadlines for those materials. The Regional Deputy Finance Directors will assist their Regional Director in managing the Regional Finance Associate.
Responsibilities include:
The Regional Deputy Finance Directors are responsible for helping their Regional Finance Director execute major donor fundraising operations within their assigned region. They will help their Regional Director meet monthly fundraising goals by building relationships with current and prospective DSCC donors in the region. Regional Deputies will lead the creation of principal briefing materials for fundraising meetings and events in their region and ensure that the region meets applicable deadlines for those materials. The Regional Deputy Finance Directors will assist their Regional Director in managing the Regional Finance Associate.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Regional Finance Director with building and executing the finance plan for the region;
- Building, maintaining, and managing relationships with current and prospective DSCC major donors in the region, including securing contributions;
- Managing the DSCC’s fundraising for direct-to-candidate contributions from donors within the region;
- Leading the production of principal memos and briefing materials for DSCC Senior Staff, the DSCC Chair, and Democratic Senators;
- Managing Vice Chair and caucus call time as needed;
- Managing the Regional Finance Assistant;
- Staffing fundraising events.
Candidates must have:
- At least 2 – 4 years of work experience;
- Experience fundraising in a fast-paced environment, preferably on a political campaign or at a committee;
- Experience managing call time;
- Experience building fundraising events;
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets;
- Experience using NGP as a fundraising database.
The ideal candidate will also have the majority of the following qualifications:
- Experience managing all aspects of fundraising events, including working with hosts, making invitations, tracking commitments, and thanking donors;
- Experience running a high-volume call time program;
- Experience working directly with Senators and/or Members of Congress;
- General knowledge of the Democratic Senate Caucus and commitment to restoring the Democratic majority in the Senate;
- Exceptional attention to detail.
This position requires in-person work at DSCC headquarters in Washington, DC.
The salary for this position is $85,000 annually. Healthcare benefits are offered to all employees.
