Research Director
The DSCC is hiring a Research Director for the 2026 election cycle. The Research Director is a critical part of the DSCC’s senior staff and a key resource for Senate campaign research departments. The DSCC Research Director, working with the senior research team, designs and implements a strategic plan to develop research materials supporting the work of the DSCC and Senate campaigns. The Research Director will manage a large team of researchers and collaborate extensively with other departments, especially the Communications Department. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the Director of Campaigns and Paid Media Strategy.
Responsibilities :
- Hire and manage DSCC research staff.
- Design and implement strategic plans to develop research materials needed by DSCC and Senate campaigns.
- Oversee the creation of research materials and programs in a portfolio of battleground states, acting as one of the primary points of contact and resources for campaign research departments in those races.
- Develop and guide long-term research projects and investigative materials.
- Work with the DSCC Communications Department and state party staff to develop and vet actionable opposition research and rapid response materials.
- Work with the DSCC Political Department to determine candidate and race research priorities and ongoing needs.
- Assist the DSCC Communications and Digital departments in the creation and vetting of public facing press, fundraising, and social media assets.
Qualifications :
This position requires in-person work at DSCC headquarters in Washington, DC.
