Kitchen Manager Responsibilities
- Uphold and exemplify our purpose statement and values.
- Increase sales through customer satisfaction.
- Hiring and teaching the hiring of quality people.
- Watch and quickly correct wasteful practices.
- Delegate and follow through – inspect what you expect.
- Ensure all staff is well trained and motivated with high morale.
- Maintain safe food handling procedures and cleanliness of kitchen.
- Learn what it takes to run a store – not a kitchen.
- Hands on supervision of all staff
- Develop a partnership relationship with all vendors.
- Enforce systems set in place and ensure others are doing the same.
- Discipline staff including managers.
- Keep recipe binders up to date, in good condition and easy to reach.
- Make recipe cards mandatory.
- Plan for teaching moments every day.
- Perform detailed line checks before every shift.
- Develop key people at the window and expo station.
- Constantly encourage communication and organization.
- Meet ticket time goals.
- Have uncompromising values for quality
- Understand equipment, basic repair and trouble-shooting skills.
- Always have a plan B, C and D.
