Custodial Operations Supervisor

Job Overview
DeMotte Christian Grade School is searching for a custodian to start in January of 2026. Training provided in the summer and preceding semester.

Applicants should agree with the school's statement of beliefs, be an active member of of a protestant church which confesses to the 5 solas of the Reformation, and lead an exemplary Christian Life.

Responsibilities

Requirements listed are not an exhaustive list.

Exterior Responsibilities:

• Mowing and trimming grass and shrubs
• Maintenance of landscaping
• Irrigating
• Maintenance of equipment and scheduling service work on equipment
• Snow removal and coordinate snow removal services
• Exterior maintenance of the building

Interior Responsibilities:

• Summer and Christmas break cleaning
• Painting and/or schedule painters
• Interior maintenance and repairs
• Maintain a schedule of required and completed maintenance activities
• Maintain mechanicals and schedule service assistance as necessary
• Maintain climate control of the building
• Schedule services such as carpet cleaning
• Maintain fire alarm system and be the first contact by alarm company
• Maintain gym floor
• Set up facilities for functions such as ballgames, concerts, dinners
• Maintain storage facilities. Design and construct new storage facilities where necessary.
• Oversee and coordinate security of the facility after a function at the school
• Coordinate with people and organizations renting the facilities
• Coordinate and supervise custodial workers
• Order custodial and maintenance supplies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina for performing manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• A commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols at all times.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
