Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
Lead revenue forecasting, working closely with Commercial Market Planning team, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of revenue projections used in financial forecasts and business reviews, including monthly outlook, quarterly business reviews and board meetings; analyze sales, inventories, returns, and GTN channels for accuracy and completeness to ensure appropriate reserves and resolves variances to forecast.
Partner with CMPA teams in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) deliverables such as developing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
Collaborate with Accounting, Commercial, and other key stakeholders on all aspects of Revenue Reporting. Includes working with multiple data systems and determining gross-to-net (GTN) assumptions (government rebate programs, returns reserve and other adjustments to revenue).
Design, Develop and manage Gross-To-Net (GTN) forecasting model that covers the utilization and discount projections of channel forecasting, as well as accrual determination and reconciliation; work with commercial channel operations, contracts and pricing teams to manage and optimize GTN, including handling rebates, chargebacks, discounts, and returns.
Partner with Accounting on the month-end, quarter-end close processes, including open PO, accruals, preliminary close analysis, reconciliations, etc. for the CMPA departments.
Collaborate with commercial and HR teams in incentive compensation forecasts, review procedures and the payout processes.
Provide financial oversight on contracts, customer agreements, and distributor fees, ensuring profitability and compliance with financial policies.
Collaborate with supply chain team on S&OP process to ensure alignment of demand and supply plans and highlight the financial impact with associated risks and opportunities.
Maintain comprehensive audit trails and drive process improvements to streamline forecasting, reporting, and audit readiness.
Serve as the primary liaison between the Commercial Finance team and external auditors for all inquiries related to revenue forecasts and gross-to-net (GTN) forecasts; coordinate and manage the flow of information between the finance and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate responses to auditor requests.
Identify and lead special projects and analyses that provide a strategic, financial, and analytical approach to decision making; advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
7 years of relevant work experience in FP&A, including 5 years of commercial finance, GTN and Revenue Forecasting experience within biotech/pharma is required
Proven track record of success in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a fast-paced and dynamic industry
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (product forecasts, P&L, NPV models, etc.)
Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical business including drug development and commercialization
Must be a strong leader with exceptional project management skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to work in capital efficient environment and align financial objectives with business goals
Superior communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability
Understanding of GAAP principles around revenue accounting
Knowledge and experience of SOX a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software and systems, such as SAP
Requires regular, on-site SSF presence (~3 days per week on average)
