This role is responsible for developing novel, efficient and scalable bioconjugation processes to support our Oligonucleotide Transport Vehicle (OTV) platform.Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
Independently design and execute lab-scale protein-oligonucleotide conjugation, chromatography, and filtration studies to support discovery and process development efforts
Establish workflows to provide bioconjugation support for OTV platform development, including managing work at external CROs as needed
Execute methods for in-process testing using Ellman’s, HPLC, UV and SDS-PAGE based analytics, and coordinate LC/MS based testing to support conjugate characterization
Work closely with discovery, CMC and project teams to develop bioconjugation methods for new programs, coordinate and execute large scale material generation runs and transfer existing process/molecule knowledge into development
Qualifications/Skills:
BS or MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline with at least 3 years of bioconjugation experience in academia/industry
Experience developing bioconjugation processes to support discovery or early-stage clinical programs
Experience working with oligonucleotides is a plus
Experience working with automated liquid handlers is a plus
Proven track record of representing a discovery or development function in cross-functional teams and working effectively with CROs
Expertise in AKTA protein purification and UFDF systems and antibody characterization methods including: HPLC, LC/MS, SDS‐PAGE, DLS and other biophysical techniques
Excellent critical thinking, scientific problem-solving and communication skills

Salary : $107,000 - $130,000
