This role will be responsible for the development and communication of evidence to support product value, including health economic and real-world evidence (RWE), and dissemination of evidence to support healthcare decision-making. This role will initially focus on support for the rare disease pipeline. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Outcomes this role requires effective cross-functional collaboration with clinical development, medical affairs, marketing, market access and field teams.Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute global HEOR strategic plans that reflect input of key stakeholders and are aligned with commercial, clinical, medical, RWE, and market access plans
Design and execute HEOR projects, including economic modeling, real world evidence, clinical outcomes assessment, indirect treatment comparisons and systematic reviews and other research as needed to support product value proposition
Develop HEOR dissemination strategy in alignment with the overall product communication strategy, including timely publication of abstracts and manuscripts and presentations at scientific congresses
Synthesize health care economic evidence to support global value dossier and AMCP dossier development
Provide key input to the design of clinical development programs to ensure appropriate inclusion of design elements and endpoints relevant to payers, clinicians and patients
Collaborate cross-functionally with access, medical, biometrics, commercial, operations and clinical development functions to ensure integration of HEOR plans within the broader strategic framework
Develop economic models and healthcare economic information (HCEI) and train the field team for effective communication with population-based decision makers
Manage HEOR vendors and consultants to provide deliverables in alignment with timelines and objectives
Qualifications/Skills:
Advanced graduate degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant discipline such as health services research, economics, epidemiology, or public health
10 years of relevant experience including post-doctoral; must include 5 years of HEOR or related experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry
Knowledge of US and global healthcare systems, global HTA requirements, and clinical development, to develop product value proposition, identify evidence gaps and formulate evidence generation and communication strategies
Excellent research skills in HEOR study design, analysis, and interpretation of data to ensure HEOR activities are scientifically and technically rigorous
Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration and influencing skills cross internal and external stakeholders in a multiculture environment.
Proven track record of end-to-end project execution, from concept development through to publication.
Ability to execute HEOR projects independently with minimum guidance.
Preferred Experience:
Experience leading HEOR strategy development and execution to support a product launch
Experience in outcomes research in rare and/or neurodegenerative therapeutic areas
