Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
Perform research in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Initiate/lead complex projects and collaborate cross-functionally and/or externally.
Mentor more junior scientists in the lab and on project teams.
Define biomarker strategies that can deliver clinical evidence of target engagement, pathway engagement and modulation of disease biomarkers in clinical development plans.
Design and implement biomarker assays in clinically relevant bio samples.
Make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret and clearly communicate results in a variety of settings.
Maintain timely and accurate lab records consistent with good documentation practices.
Significantly contribute to patent filings, diligence reports, primary research publications, and/or regulatory documents.
Participate in top conferences and academic partnerships in the primary research area.
Maintain excellent scientific expertise in primary research areas while expanding knowledge of related disciplines.
Can expect to spend up to 30% of their time in the lab.
Qualifications/Skills:
- PhD is required with 10 years of industry and/or academic experience post-training.
- Record of high-quality publications and/or public presentations focused on neurodegenerative disorders, neurobiology, translational research, and/or biomarkers.
- Demonstrated expertise in the development, execution and interpretation of complex biomarker assays.
- Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills required.
- Creative thinker with a strong sense of responsibility and a collaborative spirit.
- Outstanding time management skills across multiple projects.

Salary : $165,333 - $204,000
