As our Senior Director, Corporate Communications, you will oversee the development and implementation of public relations strategies, plans and tactics to drive understanding and appreciation of Denali's identity, values, differentiated scientific approach and innovative therapeutic pipeline for neurodegenerative diseases. To be successful in this role, you must be highly collaborative, have had experience with product launch and product brand communications in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, working for innovative, high-growth, global companies and have proven ability to drive effective communications.
Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities :
Develop and implement integrated external communication strategy to raise the profile of Denali and its science and pipelineManage external communications agency and budget to support Denali's reputation globally through overall messaging, media relations, thought leadership, issues management, digital / social media presence, creative content development, and other public relations tacticsDrive development and implementation of a corporate newsflow plan, including press release drafting and distribution, in alignment with corporate objectivesDeliver integrated program communications strategy in collaboration with Commercial and Therapeutic Program Teams to position key data, development, and regulatory milestones aligned with business objectivesManage and expand the Denali corporate web site to ensure ease of navigation, clarity, depth, relevancy and attractiveness of contentSupport Head of Investor Relations with corporate narrative and content development to ensure messaging is aligned with business objectives and integrated program communication plansCollaborate across teams, including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Regulatory, and Legal, to develop and implement internal best practices to streamline, optimize, and scale with growing external communication needsSupport Denali internal communication initiatives around employee engagement and serve as communication resource to other functions, as neededQualifications / Skills :
Bachelor's degree required12 years of communications experience, among them 5 years of healthcare experience with a biotech or pharmaceutical company, and including product launch and product brand communications experienceImpeccable written communications skills with demonstrated experience writing effective and compliant social media posts, web content and press releasesProven experience managing corporate social media channels, particularly LinkedIn, and creating effective and compliant content for themAbility to manage a corporate web presenceUnderstanding of human biology and drug development / clinical trialsAppreciation of regulatory and SEC compliance, reporting and disclosure guidelinesAbility to think creatively, both in conceptual / visual approaches and in problem solvingExperience with fact-checking and verifying sourcesAbility to adapt quickly and adjust priorities or plans to accommodate a changing environment or objectives; comfort with uncertaintyExcellent judgment while working independently and raising issues appropriatelyStrong interpersonal skills across organization levels and functionsHigh level of integrity, team orientation, and treating others with respect
Salary Range : $215,923.00 to $278,000.00 . Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
