Position Summary
We’re looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Lead Facilities & Equipment Technician to keep our building, equipment, and systems running at peak performance. This person will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and drive a proactive maintenance culture across our growing production studio. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined problem-solver who thrives in a creative, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Address and resolve operational and technical issues to ensure production continuity
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, motors, pneumatics, air compressors, and custom production machinery
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, manuals, and precision tools; repair and replace parts as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair kiln equipment, motors, gearboxes, electrical systems, and 3-phase power
- Build and modify systems and equipment when needed—creative problem-solving is part of the job
- Communicate with internal teams and external contractors when advanced support is required
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; coordinate with purchasing for timely restocking
- Maintain safe and clean working areas; enforce OSHA safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Attend bi-weekly systems meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Track and document maintenance activity, and use the internal “blue sheet” system for requests
- Train and uphold safety standards company-wide
Requirements
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of mechanical, electrical, and technical maintenance experience
- Strong hands-on skills in mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and general repair
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and manuals
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends if needed
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks (lift 50 lbs., climb, crawl, kneel, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED required; Electrical Journeyman or Construction Electrician certification a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $38.50 – $45.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
