The Denham Springs Dental Care team is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our patient care team. As a crucial member of our team, you will deliver high-quality dental hygiene services while benefiting from ongoing education and mentorship.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care through thorough dental hygiene procedures and screenings
- Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments through continuing education and training
Requirements:
- Current dental hygienist license in LA and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year
