Position Summary
The Lead Teacher will play a pivotal role in enhancing our daycare’s educational and nurturing environment. We are looking for someone who not only excels in creating engaging lesson plans and leading classroom activities but also brings fresh perspectives and ideas to improve our care and make it superior to any other center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with our homestyle philosophy and enriched by innovative ideas.
• Lead daily classroom activities, including structured learning, imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and group activities.
• Partner with parents through open communication, providing daily updates and fostering trust.
• Mentor and supervise Assistant Teachers, promoting teamwork, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, maintaining proper child/staff ratios and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other teachers to introduce new programs and improvements that enhance the children’s experiences and overall daycare quality.
• Maintain and update individual child profiles, documenting progress and milestones.
• Participate in professional development, training sessions, and team meetings.
Qualifications
• Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of one year of childcare experience, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Passion for nurturing young minds, with a commitment to bringing creative and effective new ideas to enhance care.
