Summary

The Product Management Lead will be responsible for overseeing the full product lifecycle, from development to launch, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, innovation, and technical performance. This role will focus on optimizing product offerings, managing pricing strategies, and ensuring effective market penetration. The Product Management Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, operations and logistics, to align product strategies with business goals, customer requirements, and emerging industry trends. This position is crucial for driving product innovation, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·        Product Development Oversight: Manage product selection, lifecycle planning, and integration of new technologies to ensure robust and scalable solutions.

·        Product Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement technical roadmaps that optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability while aligning with business objectives.

·        Supplier & Vendor Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize the product mix, enhance technical capabilities, and streamline procurement. Oversee negotiations for new product introductions, cost optimization, product lifecycle updates, and general data management to ensure engineering and operational efficiency.

·        Service and Maintenance Strategy: Support the Director in building the department and creating demand through a structured game plan for product and service launches. Collaborate on the development and deployment of Service and Maintenance initiatives, ensuring technical readiness, operational efficiency, and seamless integration with engineering processes.

·        Pricing & Market Analysis: Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager to develop data-driven retail pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies. Leverage market trend analysis, customer insights, and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities that enhance product competitiveness and drive engineering-led innovation.

·        Inventory Optimization & Market Growth: Collaborate with the Digital Business Manager to ensure optimal product availability, stock levels, and inventory turnover while identifying emerging opportunities. Leverage market research, user insights, and industry trends to shape a strategic product roadmap that drives growth and operational efficiency.

·        Product Activation & Data-Driven Business Strategy: Support the Director and Data Coordinator in product activation by ensuring seamless integration across platforms. Develop strong business cases and financial plans to drive new product development initiatives, leveraging data insights to optimize performance, market positioning, and profitability.

·        Cross-Functional Product Launch & Sales Growth: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and cross-functional teams—including Trade Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering, Operations and Logistics —to execute effective launch strategies. Align key initiatives to drive sales growth, optimize product performance, and ensure seamless market execution.

·        Sales Enablement & Market Expansion: Support the Marketing Director in training and equipping Sales teams with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively promote the product segment. Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to develop data-driven commercialization plans and identify strategic partnerships that expand distribution channels and drive growth.

·        Catalog Project & Market Analysis: Lead catalog development and optimization by conducting market coverage assessments, gap analyses, and product benchmarking. Identify opportunities for improvement and growth, ensuring a comprehensive and competitive product offering.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar.

·        The position is not remote, onsite presence is required in Louisville, KY,

·        Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Power Bi.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Proven ability to collaborate across departments and regions, with strong relationship-building and influencing abilities.

·        Self-motivated, quick to learn, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; comfortable with stretch goals.

·        Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and determination to accomplish objectives.

·        Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

·        High social competence: team player who excels in cross-functional collaboration
