Payroll Processing Associate
Location: 100 East Campus View Blvd, Suite 300, Columbus, OH 43235
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Rate:$18.80 per hour
Job Summary:
Client is seeking Payroll Processing Associates to assist with payroll-related tasks, including processing manual check requests, auditing payroll data, and ensuring employees are paid accurately. This role involves working with internal web-based applications and requires confidentiality, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll-related tasks using Client systems (Time & Labor, internal applications)
Ensure accurate payroll processing for both union and non-union employees
Communicate with internal and external contacts regarding payroll issues
Maintain confidentiality while handling payroll data
Perform data entry, including using a 10-key calculator and maintaining a strong typing speed (40 WPM)
Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies
Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Be flexible to work some weekends and holidays (advance notice provided)
Adapt to schedule changes and potential overtime based on business needs
Qualifications:
Required:
Basic proficiency in MS Excel and Access (primarily for data entry)
Strong typing speed (40 WPM) and 10-key calculator skills
High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to handle confidential information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Dependable, energetic, and a quick learner
Preferred but not required:
Previous experience in payroll processing, auditing, or data entry
