Job Description:

• Client is a design-build-furnish General Contractor with seasoned Interior Design expertise and unmatched ICT services.
• Client has specialized in Federal/State/Municipal Government business since 1992 and in Commercial Construction since 2020.

• We are currently seeking a Construction Estimator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST have 3 or more years of experience estimating for US commercial or federal construction.
• 5 or more years' estimating experience in US vertical construction - commercial, institutions, or military preferred.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contacts supply houses to obtain material quotes.
• Shows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors.
• Enters all relevant information into the estimate.
• Adheres to standard project estimation, approval, and change control processes.
• Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensures multiple bidders on each trade.
• Ensures proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day.
• Prepares subcontractor scopes of work.
• Transmits addenda and other bid information to subcontractors.
• Resolves conflict and escalates issues when necessary.
• Understands bid requirements thoroughly clarifies the scope of work.
• Develops RFI's and clarifications and ensures adequate subcontractor coverage and shows interest.
• Performs a comprehensive "bid day" analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades.
• Understands fitting subs to the size/scope of project.
• Creates bid lists that fit scope of job, ensuring that we have the right subs for the project.
• Capable of doing Takeoffs.
• Includes value-engineering ideas on every bid.
• Turns over bid documents and buyout information to PM in a timely manner.
• Reviews drawings with PM team and highlight areas of concern.
• Reviews job cost with PM team and highlight any subs/material vendors to be awarded.
• Awards subs in a timely manner to ensure release of materials.
• Ensures that subs are aware of (and commit to) the project schedule.

Education Requirements

• Must have a High School Diploma in Specialization
• Good to have a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Specialization

Skill Requirements

• Must have 2 years of experience in Good English verbal and written communication skills.Specialization
• Must have 2 years of experience in Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Specialization
• Must have 2 years of experience in Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Specialization
• Must have 2 years of experience in Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Specialization
• Must have 2 years of experience in Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Specialization
• Nice to have knowledge in Ability to prioritize tasks. Specialization
• Nice to have knowledge in Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Specialization
• Nice to have knowledge in RS Means, e4Clicks, experience preferred. Specialization
