Title: Software Engineer - COBOL, CISC and JCL

Location: Alpharetta, GA & New York, NY

Duration: 1 year

Job Description:

• We are looking to hire a talented software engineer having 7-15 years of experience to join the Advisory team in the client's Bangalore Office.
• The Advisory team is responsible for maintaining and building systems for Advisory business.
• We are working on a Portfolio Management System to build the next generation of systems using latest technologies and techniques and hence are looking for a software engineer to help drive the development.

Required Skills Functional:

• Should have some experience in the financial domain. Understanding of portfolio management functions is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects. Technical:
• At least 5 years of hand-on DB2/SQL, Stored Procedures , COBOL,CICS and JCL.
• Experience on trading or financial services platform * Working in Agile model (15 members team) and supports batch (rotational) along with DEV work.
• Good with technical knowledge (basics) SQL Queries, Stored Procedure (native/external), error handling - Abends / SQLCODE , GTTs , DB2 and SQL Server, COBOL / CICS and JCL.
• Experience with MQ and XML Parsing.
• Good knowledge of Concurrency and high volume server side development * Involvement in full Software Development

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree
