Position Overview: The Site Superintendent is responsible for managing all on-site Subcontractors and activities and working with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Whitefish, MT
Salary: $60,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring compliance with building codes, best practices and safety regulations
- Manage onsite trades, carpenters and laborers, oversees quality and directs daily tasks
- Follow the project schedule established by the Project Manager, working together on updates and managing the day-to-day schedule moves to ensure successful completion of projects
- Inspect jobsite daily to ensure cleanliness, quality and safety standards are being met
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors to ensure project goals and expectations are met
- Address and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Provide site organization including identifying storage and staging areas; oversees site security, installation and maintenance of company signage and setup of temporary toilet, utility needs
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily job reports and progress photos
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship
- Verify timecards & invoices for property cost coding with the Project Manager
- Meet with Project Manager weekly to update the project schedule, discuss pending decisions for timely resolution, review pending project change orders, review what new purchase orders need to be produced, and review budget variances on a weekly basis review budget detail and specifications, and cost coding
- Constantly aware of project budget, committed costs and contracted scopes of work
- Communicate, follow and implement Denman policies and procedures, as required
Qualifications
- Minium 2 years of experience in construction, preferably residential or multi-family
- Ability to read and interpret plans, construction documents and specifications
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, material and building codes
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Basic technology knowledge with ability to become familiar with company specific programs/software
- Impeccable multi-tasking abilities with self-driven motivation
- Professional level verbal and written communications skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
