Job Responsibilities
To provide a variety of administrative support and advanced office management duties. Provide administrative support to the VP of Student Affairs, the Director of Student Life and Campus Engagement/Cheerleader & Dance Coach, the Director of Admissions/Recruitment/Student-Athlete Retention/Men's Head Basketball Coach, the Assistant Director of Residence Hall, and for Student Counseling, and other individuals in the Student Affairs divisions as needed. Manage the day-to-day activities of the office using a considerable degree of independence and discretion, and exercising sound judgment in the performance of the assigned duties. Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards safely and efficiently and with general supervision
Performs primary clerical functions for Student Affairs including arranging and preparing letters, memos, emails, meeting planning and scheduling, meeting minutes, document tracking log, and other documentation. Responsible for gathering background information, researching students' issues, preparing executive summaries and other materials, and coordinating with other departments to secure materials requested. Interacts with School Deans and directors to share necessary information needed for yearly.
High School Diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus 1 yr. related work experience; or an associate degree plus 3 yrs. related work experience; or high school diploma plus 5 yrs. related work experience. Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35-55 wpm and/or basic knowledge of computer operations.

Valid driver's license required. Requires evening hours during the peak registration period.

- Composes and prepares correspondence, memoranda, promotional materials, forms, newsletters, manuals, and reports using appropriate word processing and spreadsheet tools. Performs basic statistical calculations on data for reports and presentations.
- Provides administrative support for the student conduct management process that includes contacting the student, scheduling a meeting or hearing, managing student correspondence, maintaining a report of student conduct violations and referrals, and managing the intake of student complaints, appeals, and grievances.
- Trains new staff in departmental purchasing and departmental travel process. Initiates and processes forms such as purchase orders, requisitions, travel forms, printing requests, and travel expense reimbursements. Attends to travel arrangements for the divisions as requested. 5 Evaluates all incoming correspondence to determine which matters require the Vice President's immediate attention.
- Assists with various special events, activities, assignments, and projects as assigned including the Annual Academic Awards Ceremony, Commencement, and New Student Orientation.
- Compiles and maintains information that may require web or library researching, gathering, compiling, and updating data and records.
- Assists with administrative assignments from Admissions and Recruitment such as call campaigns, local recruitment, and inputting admission applications.
