Position Summary:
Dennis & Co Auto Group, a multi-franchise automotive dealer in the NY Metro area, is seeking a Fixed Operations Director to lead and elevate its service, parts, and body shop operations across all dealerships. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on operational excellence, performance improvement, customer retention, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Oversight:
Direct fixed operations across multiple dealership locations, overseeing service, parts, and collision center performance.
- Team Leadership & Training:
Lead, train, and support teams of technicians, service advisors, and fixed ops managers. Actively coach service advisors and develop technicians from entry-level to master techs. Conduct regular in-store training to ensure high engagement, performance, and retention.
- Process Optimization:
Standardize policies, procedures, and workflows to improve efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction. Set and enforce clear expectations to ensure consistent operations group-wide.
- Customer Experience:
Ensure a seamless, customer-focused service experience. Monitor customer interactions, resolve escalations, and champion a culture of excellence that drives repeat business and retention.
- Operational Execution:
Oversee scheduling, repair workflows, repair order processing, and parts inventory. Manage the loaner vehicle fleet and ensure scheduling, documentation, and accountability are consistently upheld.
- Financial & Performance Management:
Monitor department budgets, analyze financial reports, and develop strategies to increase revenue, reduce costs, and maximize profitability. Maintain high-level visibility into KPIs including RO count, gross profit, productivity, CSI, and parts turnover.
- Warranty Management:
Oversee warranty processes to ensure accurate submission, compliance with OEM guidelines, and timely reimbursement. Train staff on proper documentation and warranty best practices, minimizing chargebacks and audit risks while optimizing warranty recovery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with General Managers and other departments to ensure smooth dealership operations. Coordinate closely with OEM partners and vendors.
- Compliance & Safety:
Work closely with Site Safety & Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety, and OEM standards.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of leadership experience in fixed operations across multi-store or multi-brand environments.
- Prior experience as a Fixed Operations Director is required.
- Proven ability to train and develop staff while building a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a big-picture mindset and an eye for day-to-day detail.
- Exceptional track record of improving performance and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (primarily CDK, additionally, Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus).
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly across dealership locations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive compensation in the $225,000 – $275,000 range based on experience.
