Marine Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and EXPERIENCED Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marine technology and the ability to work on various types of marine vessels. Mercury certifications will include extra wages and bonuses! Great working environment with a good pay plan- hourly rate with multiple bonuses! This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine engines and systems, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. A strong focus on customer service is essential, as you will be interacting with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in marine vessels.
• Perform routine maintenance on engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
• Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems.
• Weld and solder components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Operate power tools safely and effectively during repair processes.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs, maintenance schedules, and recommendations.
• Assist in sales of parts or services to customers based on their needs.

Skills

• Proficient in vehicle maintenance with a focus on marine applications.
• Experience with sheet metal work is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical systems.
• Knowledge of welding and soldering techniques.
• Familiarity with various power tools used in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
