We are seeking a skilled and EXPERIENCED Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marine technology and the ability to work on various types of marine vessels. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine engines and systems, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Duties
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in marine vessels.
- Perform routine maintenance on engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems.
- Weld and solder components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Operate power tools safely and effectively during repair processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs, maintenance schedules, and recommendations.
- Assist in sales of parts or services to customers based on their needs.
Skills
- Proficient in vehicle maintenance with a focus on marine applications.
- Experience with sheet metal work is a plus.
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical systems.
- Knowledge of welding and soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with various power tools used in maintenance and repair tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
