Job Title: Systems Engineer Requirements & Architecture
We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. The engineer will be focused on developing and managing system and subsystem requirements, coordinating architecture design, and ensuring performance and compliance across all engineering efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate on requirements development and management for system and subsystem components.
- Analyze and derive necessary specifications to support subsystem and component performance.
- Maintain requirements verification and compliance documentation, along with supporting artifacts.
- Facilitate and coordinate the architecture development for assigned systems, subsystems, and components.
- Develop and maintain interface requirements and design information for system components.
- Document design concepts and assist in creating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
- Lead formal decisions and conduct trade studies to guide system design, documenting results.
- Monitor and support cost, schedule, and risk management for system development.
- Work closely with design teams to ensure systems engineering considerations are integrated into the overall design.
- Participate in vehicle-level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience in systems engineering.
- Proven experience in requirements analysis, derivation, and allocation, translating them into feasible design solutions.
- Familiarity with architecture concept development and evaluation of alternatives.
- Ability to conduct and document trade studies and make informed design decisions.
- Experience generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a Master's in Systems Engineering.
- Experience with military vehicle systems.
- Expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including proficiency with SysML tools like Cameo.
- Familiarity with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and DOORS requirements management tool.
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering processes and tools.
- Ability to balance system design with performance, constraints, and logistical considerations.
- Logical architecture development, including creating use cases and evaluating system design alternatives.
- Capability to influence design decisions and provide systems engineering oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
