Dennis K Burke Inc. headquartered in Taunton, MA is always looking for great candidates. We are looking to add a team member to our state of the art warehouse facility located in Saco, Maine. We are a family owned business and one of New England/s largest suppliers of diesel fuel, gasoline and motor oil products. We take pride in being loyal to our customers, vendors and employees.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Associate in our Saco Maine location. Hours are Monday through Friday 5:30am -2:30pm
Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for carrying out all tasks related to shipping, receiving, and stocking within the warehouse. This role ensures that all product production activities are performed correctly, internal procedures are followed, and external deliveries are accurately picked, loaded, and processed through the warehouse, while adhering to facility rules and regulations. Additionally, the Warehouse Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean warehouse and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receiving all products brought into the Saco Facility
- Perform all daily tasks of warehouse shifts, including task checklist
- Responsible proper completion of forklift and pallet jack checklist (Fleetio) daily
- Arrange cleaning and maintenance of mobile equipment in the facility utilizing our internal equipment management software (Fleetio)
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies within the warehouse
- Assist with physical inventory count of Saco warehouse
- Responsible for picking/loading all scheduled lubricant delivery trucks
- Properly log all inventory moves within the company barcoding software, as well as all products shipped within the company dispatching system
- Complete daily production of inventory based on information provided by management
- Document and finalize all daily work as required by processes
- Ensure all deadlines are met for production, equipment and deliveries
- Other duties as required
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of experience in similar role
- Prior Forklift Certification and experience required
- Solid problem-solving abilities and time management skills
- Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Follow all safety protocols and standards
- Familiar with, and understands barcoding processes
- Communicates clearly, effectively, and professionally with employees and customers
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally bend, walk, climb, push, pull, reach
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50lbs frequently, and up to 100lbs occasionally
- Dexterity of hands/fingers to operate computer including keyboard, mouse, and other equipment
Work Environment:
The environment may be noisy due to machinery and the movement of goods. Workers are expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, and sometimes eye protection. May be exposed to varied temperatures at times outdoors and indoors (heat/cold)
1st shift, Mon-Fri 5:30am - 2:30pm
(Mandatory quarterly inventory on Saturday will be required and proper notice given)
