What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Teacher Grade 2 (2025-2026) position at Dennis Yarmouth Regional School District?
COMPENSATION: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide high-quality instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans in core subject areas including: Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and school administrators.
- Data collection, progress monitoring, report writing, parent engagement, work as grade level "team member" and other program responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely student records.
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
- Assess student learning through multiple measurement strategies.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
- Valid Massachusetts Initial or Professional Teaching License in Elementary Education (Grade 1-6).
- Massachusetts MTEL Communication & Literacy Skills and Elementary Education certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in elementary education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must be dependable, organized and communicate well with staff, students and parents.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning platforms.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
