What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor (January to June) position at Dennis Yarmouth Regional School District?
COMPENSATION: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with teachers, including BCBA Behavior program Lead teacher, administrators, and parents to develop intervention plans for students in need of support.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral issues.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for students with mental health concerns.
- Implement evidence-based practices to support student social and emotional development.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students in crisis situations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a school adjustment counselor or social worker in the state of MA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families and school staff.
- Knowledge of best practices in counseling and social-emotional learning.
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in education.
