ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assume responsibility for the academic and creative progress of all students.
- Implement the current research-based curriculum provided for Mixed-Media, AP Drawing, and Honors Portfolio.
- Reinforce a positive and collaborative culture within the classroom.
- Implement and present all syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, rubrics and other instructional materials.
- Demonstrate consistent school-wide practices and individualized plans to engage students in the classroom.
- Provide structure in the classroom by reinforcing school-wide and department rules and expectations.
- Evaluate academic achievement through detailed consistent assessment of student performance.
- Use Tier I instruction, teaching model and intervention protocols as best practices and strategies.
- Communicate effectively and maintain two-way communication relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Perform relevant professional tasks or duties as may be assigned by the building principal and/or department chair (as per the DYEA Collective Bargaining Agreement).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Massachusetts DESE licensure
- Relevant experience preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
