JOB SUMMARY
The Intensive Outpatient Counselor is responsible for providing individual and group therapy to our clients enrolled in our Intensive Outpatient 6-8 week program. The counselor is responsible for ensuring that each client develops the skills necessary to continue to live a life free from substance dependence after completing Residential Treatment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional time management skills and a commitment to improving the lives of clients that struggle with substance abuse disorders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing and implementing complex treatment plans for clients with dual diagnoses.
- Conducting Pre-Admission assessments as needed.
- Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients’ progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts.
- Carry an individual caseload 10-12 clients.
- Perform therapeutic and educational group therapy sessions in our IOP and RTC programs.
SKILLS
- Proven experience in behavioral healthcare field.
- Strong abilities to focus on team development and performance improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
SCHEDULE:
- Monday, Wednesday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm
- Tuesday 1:00pm-9:00pm
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in a clinical field.
- Three years’ experience in dual diagnosis counseling.
- Missouri credential: MAADC-I, MAADC-II, CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, RADC, LPC, LMSW or LMPT
