This role involves managing electronic case files, assisting attorneys with document preparation, conducting legal research, and supporting trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have experience in labor and employment litigation and a proven ability to meet billable requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
- Manage electronic case files and maintain accurate case documentation.
- Coordinate with experts and witnesses to gather relevant case information.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and medical summaries.
- Assist in trial preparation, including preparing trial binders and exhibits.
- Track and bill time contemporaneously in accordance with firm requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment law.
- Must be a Florida Registered Paralegal, NALA Certified Paralegal, or hold a degree from an accredited Paralegal program.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and legal software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
