Position Overview:
DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support an exciting signal analysis project. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and data scientists to develop and enhance tools and applications for efficient signal processing. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions that directly impact mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of multiple programming languages and applications to provide innovative advice and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of tools and applications for efficient signal processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and senior engineers, to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software systems to ensure high-quality performance.
- Develop software across multiple languages to support diverse project needs.
- Provide recommendations and solutions for software architecture and implementation challenges.
- Assist in integrating and deploying software systems into operational environments.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for software components and development processes.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and apply them to enhance signal analysis tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in software engineering, with exposure to diverse programming languages and applications.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one other language such as C , Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with tools and libraries for data processing, machine learning, or signal analysis.
- Basic understanding of signal processing workflows and methodologies.
- Experience developing scalable and efficient software solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Exposure to distributed processing systems like Hadoop or Spark.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure, including microservices and REST APIs.
- Basic knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline is required.
- Equivalent hands-on experience in software development may be considered in lieu of a degree.
