A lead control technician is responsible for designing, installing, programming, testing, calibrating, and repairing control systems along with the related software, hardware, and equipment. This position requires knowledge gained through prior experience with control systems. A candidate for this position will be expected to split time in the office and on-site depending on the schedule of projects assigned.
Job Description/Duties:
- · Experience in estimating, bidding, and design.
- Applicants should be comfortable and efficient at implementing sequence of operations for all field equipment from plans and specifications.
- Responsible for completing close-out documentation activities including point to point checkout and sequence of operations commissioning.
- Manage subcontractors installing per plans, specifications, and schedule.
- Coordinating with customer IT teams for setting up VLANs, Virtual Servers, and security protocols for setting up remote access.
- Requires general knowledge of digital controls such as analog and digital inputs and outputs, point addressable devices, sequences of operations, closed loop and supervisory feedback systems, and computer networking.
- Experience implementing enterprise level building automation platforms and integrating with BACnet, Modbus, LON, and other legacy communication protocols.
- Required to complete troubleshooting systems controllers, field devices, sensor wiring, control wiring, general input and output wiring, and network/communication wiring.
- General knowledge of electrical equipment and practices.
- Required advanced abilities in using PC and application software.
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) including Microsoft Visio for design.
- Customer-centric individual that can take a project from start to finish.
Qualifications & Licenses
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- 5 years of industry experience
- Niagara N4 Certified
- CCT Advanced/Beginner
- OSHA 10
