Shipping Clerk
DMNC - Production Control, Dept. 3140
Core Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Position Summary: This position is responsible for monitoring customer delivery requirements and preparing all tagging, shipping documents and shipping related communications for multiple customers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate short-term customer requirements for discrepancies.
- Execute to the shipping timetable through the completion of shipping packets.
- As window for customer, process timely and accurate requests from internal and external customers.
- Complete all required customer documentation for shipping activities and maintain accurate files.
- Maintains all shipping documentation for future retrieval.
- Assist the Team Leader and/or Shipping Specialist with trial, design change and new product shipments.
- Maintain 5S standards and comply with all safety requirements.
- Performs other Production Control activities as needed.
- Takes responsibility to notify management if quality issues are not being addressed or procedures are not being followed.
- If applicable, accesses customer websites to review daily customer shipping requirements and ASN receipts and provide forecast to the Planning section.
- Complies with all IATF-16949 requirements.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Quality / Environmental Roles and Responsibilities:
- Follows all procedures and work instructions and makes recommendations to improve the process. Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances.
- Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assist in the problem-solving process.
- Communicates and practices DMNC’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining IATF-16949 and ISO-14001.
Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous customer service skills are preferred.
Working Conditions :
Works mainly in an office environment with occasional visits to the plant required. Must have the ability to use computer and telephone.
