What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Hygiene Assistant position at Dental Care Alliance?
Overview
We are currently looking for a Dental Hygiene Assistant to work at our office Imagix Vinings located in Atlanta, Georgia 30339. This is a full-time position with the days Mon-Thurs and some Fridays. The ideal Candidate must have an x-ray license for the state of Georgia and preferred to have their EFDA certification is preferred. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefit package!
Responsibilities
The following dental hygiene assisting duties are noted; however, other duties may be assigned:
- Distributes and collects completed documentation from patient including medical history.
- Sets up and breaks down treatment rooms, cleans & sterilizes treatment room.
- Sterilize & maintain equipment & instruments.
- Upholds office policy including HIPAA & OSHA
- Greets and escorts patients into operatories and escorts them out.
- Performs assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning & maintenance duties.
- Reviews medical history and inputs into CPS. Asks initial consult questions from patient, records information and takes intra-oral pictures for doctor. Fills out exam notes as dictated by doctor.
- Ability to take clinically appropriate xrays.
- Obtain and review needed consent for patient treatment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 Years Experience working as a Dental Assistant
- Completion of Dental Assisting Program
- EFDA certification, preferred
- X-ray license for the state of GA, required
