Overview
Klar Holmes & Associates is looking for a Orthodontic Assistant for office located in Virginia Beach, VA 23464. The Assistant we hire is required to have at least 1 years of Orthodontic Assistant experience in Virginia Beach, VA and must be x-ray certified in the state of VA. Must be a team player with a compassionate and professional demeanor; self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. We offer a competitive salary, plus benefits!
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am -5pm
Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 1 years on-the-job-experience in orthodontic practice(with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
