Our dental billing systems and processes allow our employees to work all aspects of the full revenue cycle system efficiently, to increase profits for dental practices and groups.

Position Summary :

The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department by performing various administrative and clerical tasks. They assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR department and contribute to creating a positive and efficient work environment. The HR Assistant provides support in areas such as employee relations, recruitment and selection, onboarding, record-keeping, and general HR functions.

Although the Human Resources Assistant may be administrative in nature, the role is significant and impactful to the success of DCS. Supporting strategic HR functions include, but not limited to : Efficient HR Operations, Positive Employee Experience, Compliance, Risk Management, Administrative Support, Employee Relations and Engagement.

In this role, you will :

Recruitment & Hiring Support

  • Screen applicants, review resumes, and assess hiring assessments for alignment with role qualifications.
  • Conduct background screenings, reference checks and assist with hiring inquiries.
  • Coordinate interviews and track candidates through the hiring process.

Onboarding & Employee Data Management

  • Process onboarding paperwork and ensure new hire compliance within the companys HRIS.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including payroll updates and benefits administration.
  • Apply for state and jurisdictional tax accounts (Withholding, Unemployment, Paid Family Leave).
  • Create workforces email signatures.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Calculate, reconcile, and process payroll for contractors and W2 employees.
  • Administer 401(k) distributions in compliance with Safe Harbor regulations.
  • Ensure payroll deductions and tax filings are processed accurately and timely.
  • HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in audits and reporting for internal HR and compliance initiatives.
  • Support the HR team in implementing and communicating policy updates.
  • Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR processes.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on workforce experience improvements.
  • Success Criteria :

  • Maintain 99% accuracy in employee record updates, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Process new hire onboarding paperwork within 24 hours of acceptance.
  • Complete reference checks and hiring verifications within 48 hours of assignment.
  • Acknowledge and respond to HR-related inquiries within one business day.
  • Meet all payroll deadlines with 100% on-time processing.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with state tax registrations and employee benefit applications.
  • Actively contribute to at least one HR initiative per quarter aimed at enhancing employee experience or operational efficiency.
  • Requirements :

  • 2 years Human Resource administrative experience.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Familiarity with HRIS software and databases, BambooHR preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and billing (preferred, but not required).
  • High School diploma or GED, some college coursework preferred; additional education in HR or a related field is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in your work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), Google Drive a plus.
