Overview
We are a fun, pediatric dental practice seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about dentistry, particularly in the field of pediatric dentistry, and possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our dental clinic, contributing to a positive experience for both patients and staff.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area to adhere to safety protocols.
- Manage patient flow within the clinic.
- Support the dentist with dentistry, and other specialized procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Experience Preferred, not required.
Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Pediatric dentistry: Familiarity with treating children and understanding their unique needs.
- Dentrix Ascend: Proficiency in using Dentrix software for managing patient records.
- Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of oral anatomy to assist effectively during procedures.
- Medical records: Experience in maintaining accurate patient documentation.
- Assisting: Previous experience assisting in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
