Lead Ceramist Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Ceramist to join our dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dental ceramics and the ability to manage and mentor a team of ceramists.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the ceramics department, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency
- Design and fabricate complex dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported prosthetics
- Utilize advanced techniques in staining, glazing, porcelain stacking, and wax-ups
- Collaborate closely with dentists and other dental professionals to meet precise specifications and patient expectations
- Manage and train junior ceramists, providing guidance and mentorship
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and safety protocols
- Stay current with the latest advancements in dental materials, techniques, and technologies
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a dental ceramist, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role
- Proven expertise in creating high-quality, aesthetically pleasing dental restorations
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, morphology, and terminology
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM technology and digital dentistry workflows
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
- Certification as a Certified Dental Technician (CDT) preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
