Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating of all dental prosthetics and all appliances while ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision. This role requires a solid understanding of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. The Dental Technician will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances using various materials and techniques.
- Utilize CAD software for designing dental restorations and ensure accuracy in measurements and specifications.
- Perform tasks in accordance with infection control protocols to maintain a sterile laboratory environment.
- Conduct inspections of finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet established standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to understand specific patient needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, procedures performed, and patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques to continually improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Technician or in a similar laboratory role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and practices within a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in using CAD systems for dental design work.
- Understanding of anatomy as it relates to dental structures is essential.
- Experience with tools such as micrometers for precise measurements is advantageous.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
