Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Experienced Dental Assistant/ Office Coordinator for our practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in various dental software systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Handle insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Assist with medical coding and documentation as needed.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for patient management.
- Support the dental team during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Manage incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding treatments, services, and office policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures is a plus.
- Experience with general dentistry practices is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be available one Sat a month and work till 4:30pm on M-T-Th. 32-36 hours a week.
- YOU MUST BE WILLING TO CROSSTRAIN BACK AND FRONT FOR MAXIMUM HOURS.
