Job Purpose
Treatment Planning Coordinators are responsible for verifying patient insurance benefits, communicating with patients about treatment cost, generating and presenting financial arrangements to patients, processing payments, and maintaining a productive and efficient schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and present clear and reliable treatment plans for patients, including presenting financial options to patients and documenting the final financial arrangement
Secure appropriate documentation from patients and store in applicable software(s)
Build strong relationships with patients and support activities that grow the practice
Reconcile invoices, identify discrepancies, and check reports for accuracy
Document clear and reliable billing activity in internal databases and reporting software(s)
Receive and sort incoming payments with attention to accuracy and timeline
Manage the status of accounts and balances; strong ability to identify inconsistencies
Processing and posting patient payments
Issue invoices and receipts to patients
Update the accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments
Coordinate with Central Billing and Medical Billing teams to ensure proper billing and collections
Maintaining a professional reception area
Monitoring and replying to emails and voicemails
Checking daily appointment schedules and filling gaps to ensure positive production
Preparing end-of-day reports and deposits
Maintaining OSHA and HIPAA Compliance
Perform all other duties as assigned
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
Experience: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required; prior dental experience preferred
Working conditions:
Dental practices run at a fast pace and treatment coordinators will be required to keep up with the flow of
doctors and patients.

Stand for long periods.
