CAD/CAM Department Manager – Dental Lab (Huntsville, AL)
We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Department Manager to lead our digital team in a well-established dental laboratory in Huntsville, AL. This role requires proficiency in 3Shape and knowledge of Exocad, along with extensive hands-on experience in digital dental technology, including scanning, designing, milling, and printing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and optimizing digital workflows to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily CAD/CAM operations, ensuring high-quality case design and efficient workflow.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing training, development, and performance management.
- Design and troubleshoot complex implant restorations, including All-on-X, custom abutments, and multi-unit restorations.
- Ensure quality standards are met while maintaining optimal departmental throughput.
- Manage and optimize scanning, designing, milling, and printing workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies for scaling CAD/CAM operations to meet laboratory growth demands.
- Collaborate with clinicians and internal departments to ensure case accuracy and seamless production.
- Stay up to date with advancements in CAD/CAM technology and incorporate best practices into daily operations.
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience with 3Shape and Exocad in a dental laboratory setting.
- Strong background in scanning, designing, milling, and 3D printing for dental restorations.
- Prior experience as a team lead or manager, with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of complex treatment planning, including implant and multi-unit case design.
- Ability to maintain and enhance quality standards while optimizing efficiency.
- Experience with scaling CAD/CAM operations to support laboratory growth.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 (based on experience).
