Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Comprehensive Aesthetic Dental Technician to join our team in Spokane, Washington. This role focuses on finishing the final stages of dental restorations, ensuring superior aesthetics and functionality. The ideal candidate will have crown and bridge experience in both analog and digital workflows, with knowledge of Exocad and high-end aesthetic training (LVI or equivalent) as a plus.
The position is available at three experience levels, with the senior level incorporating management responsibilities and a 70/30 split between bench work and leadership duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finish porcelain restorations to exact specifications with precision.
- Shade match cases according to prescribed prescriptions.
- Perform contouring, staining, glazing, and characterization of restorations.
- Verify occlusion, contacts, and surface texture for accuracy.
- Ensure all cases meet high aesthetic and functional standards.
- Maintain data entry and case tracking in our lab software system.
- Work closely with the design and fabrication teams to refine and perfect cases.
- Uphold quality control protocols to meet laboratory and patient-specific expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Crown and bridge experience in both analog and digital workflows.
- Extremely proficient with a handpiece for precision finishing.
- Familiar with comprehensive, complex cases and full-mouth rehabilitations.
- Expertise in ceramics, composite layering, and digital finishing methods.
- Knowledge of Exocad is a plus.
- High-end aesthetic training (LVI or similar) is a plus.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience Levels & Additional Responsibilities:
Entry-Level (1-3 Years of Experience):
- Assist with finishing and aesthetic enhancements under supervision.
- Learn and develop skills in staining, glazing, and occlusal adjustments.
- Work closely with senior technicians to gain expertise.
Mid-Level (3-7 Years of Experience):
- Independently finish complex aesthetic cases with precision.
- Troubleshoot aesthetic and functional challenges.
- Mentor junior technicians on finishing techniques and best practices.
Senior-Level / Management (7 Years of Experience):
- Oversee finishing department operations, maintaining a 70/30 bench-to-leadership ratio.
- Manage workflow, training, and quality control for the finishing team.
- Collaborate with dentists and specialists on high-end aesthetic cases.
- Implement process improvements and innovative finishing techniques.
