An independently owned dental lab is seeking a skilled Removable Dental Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience crafting custom removable prosthetics such as dentures, partials, and mouth guards that enhance both the aesthetics and functionality of patients’ smiles. This role offers the opportunity for career progression, with varying levels of responsibility and expertise required at each stage.
Responsibilities:
Must possess all of the following core competencies plus have proven management experience in a laboratory setting.
Level I:
- Perform all trainee responsibilities proficiently.
- Contour wire clasps for proper retention and aesthetics.
- Grind and polish acrylic to meet functional and aesthetic standards.
- Assist with additional duties as required.
Level II:
- Perform all Level I responsibilities.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of occlusion and mouth function.
- Set teeth in edentulous arches, considering both aesthetics and function.
- Contour wax or acrylic to replicate natural dentition.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
Level III:
- Execute all responsibilities of previous levels.
- Proficiently set teeth and create full dentures, including fixed and implant dentures.
- Provide expert technical support to customers and coworkers.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert within the department.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure timely case processing and manage team absences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
