Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Coordinator/Biller to join our team and assist our current office manager. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating effective communication between healthcare providers and insurance companies. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding practices, and insurance verification procedures. Working days and hours are flexible between Monday and Thursday.
Duties
- Provide support in the billing process by ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Process claims submissions accurately and efficiently, utilizing knowledge of ICD-9 coding and medical coding practices.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
- Collaborate with medical and dental office staff to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to insurance claims.
- Assist in managing managed care contracts and understanding their implications on patient care.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, procedures, and regulations that may affect the practice.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft dental software in conjunction with paper charting/documentation.
- Proficiency in coding and familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and managed care principles.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality standards.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
