Duties:
- Process monthly billings
- Weekly insurance follow-up on outstanding claims
- Posting personal and insurance payments received by mail/EFT/credit card.
- Collection calls / letters on outstanding patient personal balances
- Verification of insurance benefits
- Building new insurance plans in Dentrix
- Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor when interacting with patients, addressing their concerns, and providing necessary information about dental procedures.
- Yearly paperwork update of insurance in network savings for binders
- Yearly payment table updates for limited insurance plans in system
- Verify/Process claims and forward them to insurance carriers.
- Dental insurance claim denial follow-up
- Inactivating patients in system
- Insurance correction and insurance refund letters
- Correction of incorrect claims processed.
- Keep insurance websites up to date and passwords updated.
- Answer billing/insurance questions for patients
- Maintain current dental insurance and employer lists.
- Greeting patients
- Register new patients according to established office protocols.
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation.
- Verify and update patient information.
- Inform patients of dental office procedures and policy
- Move patients through appointments as scheduled.
- Enter all relevant patient information into the data system.
- Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
- Answer and manage incoming calls.
- Respond and comply to requests for information.
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol.
- Check daily appointment schedule.
- Print patient route slips for next day appointments
- Fill in cancellations and no-shows.
- Collect and post payments from patients at the time of treatment.
- Inform patients of financial treatment plan options
- Check out patient’s and batch claim forms for dental insurance.
- Arrange supporting documents for insurance claims.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of dental office supplies.
- Maintain a professional reception area.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Submit patient dental pre-treatment estimates.
- Review treatment plans with patients
- Scanning dental insurance benefit breakdowns

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
