We are seeking an experienced Director to lead and expand our consulting practice within our dental division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high quality consulting services, driving business growth and utilizing their accounting experience and industry expertise to keep a close pulse on client business operations and key financial information.
Responsibilities
- Direct client interactions and relationship building within Dental Practice Advisors (DPA), acting as a trusted advisor.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities for DPA. Develop service proposals for prospective clients for accounting services and project work.
- Prepare client financial statements, helping translate the data into useful information that will help business leaders identify trends and help them better manage their respective dental practice.
- Management consulting to identify solutions to problems and improve processes.
- Assist clients in areas such as long-term strategic planning, financial modeling, practice transitions, developing an annual business plan, workflow planning, staff review and reviewing their fee strategy.
- Client bookkeeping and monthly reporting.
- QuickBooks set up, upgrades and migrations, training and support.
- Prepare monthly client billing for DPA services. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Lead and mentor staff.
- Write articles for trade journals and make presentations to dental schools when opportunities arise.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in the dental industry to better serve clients (e.g., understand the challenges dentists are facing such as staffing shortages, competition, insurance reimbursement, new equipment, technology, and software).
Qualifications
- Prior experience working specifically in the dental industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years of related accounting experience.
- 5 years of management consulting experience.
- CPA.
- CMA or similar management consulting certification is a plus, but not required.
- Prior QuickBooks experience.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and leadership.
